A Miranda Lambert Duet You Might Have Missed

With all this talk of duets Miranda Lambert - as your next "something wrong" with Carrie Underwood and her recent single “We Were Us" by Keith Urban - I cannot stop thinking about my very favorite . And it's one you might not have heard of yet.

It's “Old Habits," a duet with Justin Moore from his album Off the Beaten Path launched late last year. And the last time I spoke to raved about Moore and this particular song, he said it was a favorite, too.

“When I heard the tape job of it, my producer and I looked and I said, ' That's a duet, ' " Moore said.

Next thing you said to each other?

“‘We need to Miranda,'" Moore recalled.

Moore said Lambert was the obvious choice for the song, because of her voice and how the countries of the song are.

“There are a lot of talented women artists in this city, but no one is better than country singer Miranda Lambert, music in my opinion," he said. "And there’s a country song out there than this.

“She knocked it out of the park. Knew he would. Has been very interesting for her to take time from your schedule to do that," Moore said. "You really find out who your friends are when you call and say, ' Sing this song with me,' and just go, ' Okay.'"

Moore is nominated for an ACM Award for New Artist of the Year, and Lambert is nominated for five ACM awards, including artist of the year.
