Miranda was born and raised in Lindale, Texas, with his parents, two detectives. From an early age, she showed an interest in the country and especially music after attending a Garth Brooks concert. She also began singing in competitions, supported by his father, also a great lover of country music.
At age 16, Lambert made an appearance on the Johnny High Country Music Review in Arlington (the same show that launched the career of singer LeAnn Rimes). She took guitar lessons taught by his father and began to write his own songs.
While still in high school, Miranda began his professional singing career. She faced the house band of the Reo Palm Isle Ballroom in Longview, on a stage that had already seen from a few other stars like Willie Nelson or Elvis Presley.
